LA SCIENZA DEL POPOLO
"The Science of the People" is an ongoing dialogue with my grandmother, and an honor to her spirit and wisdom. Over many years I have been collecting her Italian proverbs and slowly embroidering them into an ancient linen dress, Sometimes they also take shape in small tediously embroidered handheld tokens.
Often short and humorous, always simple and on point, these sayings and this dress act as a connection to the past present and future.
